Not only the exceptional ambiance of the ancient castle, but also the three spacious conference rooms of "Vogtei", "Knappensaal" and "Rüstkammer" will turn your conferences into something special. Although the mediaeval atmosphere is evident throughout the castle, you won't miss anything: the rooms are bright and comfortable, and the conference rooms come with modern seminar and media technology.

Do you want to do something after a tiring seminar day? Discover the natural beauty of the Eifel National Park and enjoy the many recreational opportunities nearby. Or benefit from Seminar Service Plus: in cooperation with our partner "Natur bewegt", the hostel team has developed specific action modules for conference groups. The timing, duration and objective are decided on in consultation with the seminar leader. Team-training, role-playing or concentration exercises – you decide what's right for your group.

Seminar Service Plus

The ambience of Burg Blankenheim Youth Hostel offers an authentic setting for a variety of workshop or seminar supplements. In cooperation with our partner "Natur bewegt", the hostel team has developed modules designed specifically for conference groups. Their task is to promote each individual's bodily awareness and ability to concentrate, to actively support the team-building process within the group, and to offer space for long-term community experiences.

The timing and duration, focus and target are always redefined from one event to the next, because as a seminar leader, you know what would be best for your event:

  • Team training: archery or climbing
  • Cooperative games: drama or role playing
  • Barbecue or midnight snack


When catering, the kitchen team puts great emphasis on quality and value for money. The hostel staff is naturally happy to cater for specific vegetarian and religious dietary requirements. Flexible mealtimes and seminar catering are possible.

The rehearsal rooms in the old castle walls provide unparalleled acoustics. The instruments and technology provided make Burg Blankenheim Youth Hostel a great choice for all music fans. And if guests have a bit of time between rehearsals, a stroll through the quiet town with its half-timbered houses is the ideal respite. In the evening, everyone meets up in the "Burgverlies", the hostel's own bistro, to enjoy the evening in a rustic atmosphere.

As a Music Hostel, Blankenheim Youth Hostel naturally also offers services to suit the needs of musical groups: rehearsal times, leisure activities and catering to suit your rehearsal schedule – the hostel team can help you plan everything even in the early stages.

Small and large groups can rehearse undisturbed in Blankenheim Youth Hostel: choirs and music groups of 140 people or more can benefit from the "Youth Hostel EXCLUSIVE" offer. The entire hostel will then be at your group's sole disposal. Then no-one will mind if things get a bit loud!

It's not just the three in-house rehearsal rooms and modern music equipment that make the hostel a popular destination for choirs and music groups - it is above all the special ambience of the castle and the excellent acoustics of the old building that provide ideal conditions for rehearsals.

The right food makes an important contribution to a generally successful rehearsal experience. Our kitchen team has responded to this challenge with a varied range of meals: all the food that's served is healthy, light and always tasty. You should discuss with us any special dietary requirements when planning your stay so that your wishes can be incorporated into your rehearsal schedule. We are flexible. That's why our kitchen team will also try to comply with any vegetarian or religious dietary requirements as far as possible.
